Irina Warner (Germany, 1993) holds a degree in Fine Arts (premi extraordinari) from the University of Barcelona and a master's degree in Screenwriting and Documentary Film Directing from the University of Aix-Marseille in France. She writes and directs her own documentary, experimental and animation projects and works for others as a director, documentary filmmaker, assistant director and producer, editor, photographer, illustrator and workshop artist.
As a visual artist and filmmaker, her work is situated between documentary film, painting and video art. The images she creates arise from observing, listening and documenting the conflicts that occur around her on a micro and macro-political scale. He investigates the feeling of permanent powerlessness he experiences in the face of inequalities (ecological, economic, colonial, interspecies and gender). It explores narratives that allow the representation of memory and strategies of resistance, searching for other sensibilities, views and forms of coexistence.
