Public Activities

HAMACA's public activities address different formats of projection, exhibition, learning and mediation, starting from the archive, experimental audiovisuals and image analysis, and relating them to different cultural, educational, social and professional contexts.

From the variety of programs, activities are organised for general audiences, neophytes, amateurs, young people and/or intergenerationals; as well as for specialised audiences, belonging to the professional audiovisual, art, culture or research sectors, or in stages of higher education in these fields. Public activities include screening cycles, large screen video sessions, exhibitions, workshops, art and education projects, open working groups, artistic experimentation laboratories, seminars, etc.

The activities aimed at professional communities or those in the process of professionalisation explore theoretical, formal, ethical-political and operational aspects of experimental audiovisual and its fields of creation and research.

The activities for young people link narratives and current issues of life and image with curricular content and learning practices, critical thinking and creation. We are present in compulsory education and baccalaureate spaces, but also in other learning contexts such as civic centres, art centres or associations that occupy leisure and free time.
