Ningún Deus explores the question of identity concerning the Entroido, a traditional carnival festival in the rural areas of the province of Ourense, in the interior of Galicia, and investigates the links between the magical rite, the construction of identity and the collective memory of the people. The piece shows, precisely, the construction of one of the traditional masks of the Entroido in Ourense, «el peliqueiro de Laza», through the days and moments before its first appearance in the streets and squares of the place.
