Pablo Marte


Pablo Marte (Cádiz, 1975) is an artist, writer and researcher. Technician in Film and Television Production (EMAV - Barcelona) and Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of Barcelona, his works have been shown at Azkuna Zentroa (Bilbao), Dosmares (Marseille), Sandberg Instituut (Amsterdam), BAK (Utrecht), the Centro de Cultura Contemporánea de Andalucía (Córdoba), Sala Rekalde (Bilbao), CA2M (Madrid), Museo de Bellas Artes de Bilbao, Hangar (Lisbon), Kadist Art Foundation (Paris), Artium (Vitoria), Centro de Arte Santa Mónica (Barcelona), etc.

He has create some solo films (Pretty Woman and other stories) and in collaboration with Alexander Kluge (Imperial Eyes), with Taxio Ardanaz (Venceremos) or Susana Talayero (Historias de la Prehistoria). As a commission for Tabakalera, San Sebastian, he has made a serialized audiovisual production of 12 chapters with Marion Cruza Le Bihan (Mañana Goodbye) about the change of productive model by which a tobacco factory becomes a center of contemporary culture. In turn, she has curated the exhibition “Giltzapekoak: notes on reclusion”, with Marion Cruza and Aitor Izagirre, at Koldo Mitxelena Kulturenea, San Sebastian. At the end of 2020, he collaborates in the foundation of the podcasting space of cultural criticism “Basilika”, where he hosts the conversational programs Sector Conflictivo and Informe Infame.
