HAMACA Learning claims for contemporary audiovisual practices and its potentiality as a tool of knowledge-acquiring and cultural and educative development. The program gives to know the latest and most risky approaches of video creation in different genres (documentary, animation, video essay, video art, etc.) and brings the video practice closer to different collectives through proposals made by the same filmmakers.
The program is developed in formal education contexts (primary and high school) and in spaces of art mediation, such as museums, art centers, and other educative spaces. The initiative is supported by the Culture Institute of Barcelona (Institut de Cultura de Barcelona) and the Cultural Department of the Catalan Government (Generalitat de Catalunya).
