As a fundamental part of the learning area, HAMACA promotes instances of research on lines of investigation around video. It articulates meetings to work and reflect on the medium, historiography, and socio-political and cultural issues that cross the productions of the catalog. The objective is to generate a space for the exchange of knowledge and practices that will continue to enrich the imaginaries and the study of experimental audiovisual.
In collaboration with artists, agents, and collectives that belong to or orbit around HAMACA, the research projects promote thought and action on topics such as the historiography of video art in the state (APOLOGY/ANTHOLOGY), alternative languages of the pornographic image (SEXCRIPTURES) or digital art marketing strategies.
With the aim of expanding and affecting the thinking around video, the resources generated during the research are shared openly on the HAMACA website.
