122 m! is a video installation with two face-to-face projections. On each screen there is a sequence showing a porno voiceover actress acting out a lesbian scene from the famous erotic movie Vixen! by Russ Mayer. The title, 122 m!, comes from the length of the rolls of 16 mm film used in erotic-pornographic films from the 1960s, establishing a parody-analogy with the dimensions of the male sex organ. The length of the scene, 11 minutes, is tailored to the time capacity of these rolls. The frame selected is a medium shot, over which an imperceptible zoom is used during the climax and ends with a close-up during orgasm. With no apparent visual reference to the dubbed scene, the dialogue between the two women has an insignificant overtone which surprisingly finishes in a sexual encounter. This scene was chosen because it reveals the natural aspects of lesbian relationships beyond the assumed heterosexuality of the public, and because it shows an erotic vision distinct from the close-up genital shots present in contemporary pornography at the same time.
