Confessing this kind of thing is practically social suicide. For a few seconds nothing happens, it's a time that goes on forever until it reaches the heart, it spreads to every nerve ending, it explodes and every joint in your body moves slightly like the bass of a massive sound system. What happens next is pure spectacle, the performance, which you do for yourself, that you have met on the internet some guys you are going to fuck all night long, for the gallery, for an old client who this time won't pay you, for a webcam, for a social centre or an art centre. Some time later you get off and return to a borrowed white room, shared, managed by some artist who can share a bit of his space, you laugh, you get over your rice, you go out partying and you write a text like this one. Beyond the spectator is an autobiographical reflection on borrowed spaces, affections and personal crises that happen beyond the exhibition. It is also a reflection on whether the "spectator" is necessary for the work of art.
