Reprise is an audiovisual installation consisting of the continuous and simultaneous projection of 3 series of film images featuring women, couples, and men, as characters. The projected slides are actual stills from commercial films organized in a series of 81 images that form an outline of what could be the basic elements of any film.

The possibility of viewing these still images out of their original context reveals analogies and differences in the various archetypes, signatures, and icons of cinematic language.

The sound is a collage of fragments of soundtracks of all kinds of films, made by the North American musician Peter van Riper, with whom Eugenia Balcells has collaborated in several projects.
