Through the grainy and fleeting frames of Super 8 film, the director revisits a childhood trip to Asia, where his father's business partner—a constant presence in their lives—captured the narrative of a family through his lens. The story unveils a web of complex relationships: the father’s secret past with his partner, unspoken desires, and repressed truths buried in the name of family, career, and status. Torn between the limits of memory and the power of forgetting, the director confronts the possibility that some energies leave scars as deep as the actions themselves.

The piece has been selected as the winner of Hamaca’s 2024 Contrapicada Call for Production, and is currently premiering at festivals around the world.
