Fran MM Cabeza de Vaca

Fran MM Cabeza de Vaca (Córdoba, 1976) is a composer, sound artist and music teacher. He has premiered instrumental, electronic and scenic works in national and international festivals. He has participated as composer and performer in several stage shows, such as La Casa de Aitana Cordero or ECLIPSE:MUNDO by Paz Rojo. Among other audiovisual works, it is worth mentioning three feature-length documentaries together with artist José Luis Tirado, as well as his active involvement in the audiovisual collective ZEMOS98.

Since 2012, he has collaborated closely in several works with the poet María Salgado, highlighting the scenic recital Hacía un ruido (2014) and the trilogy of audio-textual pieces Jinete Último Reino: Frag.1 (2021), Frag.2 (2019) and Frag.3 (2017), performed as a whole in November 2021 at Teatros del Canal within the programming of the Festival de Otoño. He is an active part as a performer of the Fanfarria Transfeminista de Madrid. After almost two decades as a music teacher in high school in public school, he highlights his teaching work in the Master of Contemporary Scenic Thought and Creation at ESADCYL (Valladolid). Since September 2018 he coordinates the Communities Area of the Education Department of the Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofía.
