Maddi Barber graduated in Audiovisual Communication and has a master in Visual Anthropology from the University of Manchester. Her work has been screened at festivals such as Visions du Réel, San Sebastian (Zabaltegi), Curtocircuito, Zinebi, Alcances, Ji.hlava, Porto Post Doc and Las Palmas, among others. 

Through her films, Barber approaches the Pyrenean territory and its inhabitants, human and non-human, using diverse cinematographic strategies in an attempt to portray the frictions and challenges generated in the contemporary rural landscapes. She is currently working on the development of "Claros de bosque", her first feature film.
