Mon Cano

Mon Cano (Madrid, 1996) is an architect and visual artist focused on the relationship between design and ideology. His practice understands the material and the technological as a cultural fossil with the capacity to pervert contemporary narratives.

He has worked on projects where industrial processes and waste become key elements to put in conversation the artificial modifications of the landscape with geological time. In works such as "Azul Subsuelo", through irony, the material approaches the body and resignifies itself by taking on its own agency.

At the same time, as a member of the collectives La Cuarta Piel and Martillo Neumático, he develops lines of research between the territory, its ecosystems and citizenship. His work has been presented at Tenerife Espacio de las Artes TEA, Medialab Matadero Madrid, La Casa Encendida in Madrid, Noche en Blanco Gau Zuria in Bilbao or Centro Cultural Las Cigarreras in Alicante.
