Albert Gironès approaches through video the strange solar phenomenon known by «the miracle of sun». It was first described during the last apparition of the Virgin of Fátima in October 1917, and since then, it has been documented in various places linked to Marian apparitions. Science explains it as a neuropsychological process between the eyes and the brain's visual cortex, triggered by continuously looking at the sun for a few minutes. El miracle del sol [The Miracle of Sun] is the result of superimposing the 16 mm film recording of the sun from the "Hill of the Apparitions" in Medjugorje (Bosnia and Herzegovina) with the pictorial intervention of the footage, which represents the series of images observed through the camera’s viewfinder during the same recording. In this way, what the camera can capture is superimposed with what the human eye can perceive.
