Cande Lázaro (Badajoz, 1997) develops his work linked to self-referential and archival documentary cinema. Artist graduated in Audiovisual Communication and Diploma in Documentary Film at the Instituto de Cine de Madrid, his pieces have been selected and screened at festivals such as the Alcances Documentary Film Festival, Festival De Cinema Independiente L'Alternativa de Barcelona, IFFR Rotterdam or Sicilia Queer Filmfest, having received in the latter the awards for Best International Short Film and the Pride Award with mar(i)cona.

He has also screened at the Festival Una Casaml Festival BIdeOtik in Bilbao, Cineteca/Matadero and FILMIN. La Pastora, his first feature film, has had several artistic residencies to accompany and support its development, such as Tabakalera, DiiiP (Documentary, Intimacy and Staging), FIRE!!LAB and Queer Cine Lab, where he won the award for best project.
