HAMACA was born in 2005 with the aim of creating a catalog of experimental audiovisuals on a national level. With this, the project had between its main purpose the activation and circulation of its pieces, generating an economic flow for the artists.

HAMACA distributes the videos of a wide catalog that currently counts with more than 1100 titles. The main tool for digging into HAMACA’s catalog is the website, where the visitor can visualize most of the pieces online. Promoting a space about the artists and their works, it provides documentation, education materials, and descriptive reviews written by specialists of the cultural sector. It also includes thematic packs which provide itineraries through the archive focused on urgent and historic topics.

We offer rental services and the purchase of digital copies to public institutions, entities, media libraries, universities, or televisions. Through an agreed rate system, HAMACA guarantees fair retribution to the authors, contributing to the professionalization of contemporary audiovisual practices.
